Tiki Tumble – Push Gaming

score: 6 / 10

Push Gaming lets you follow in the footsteps of Norway’s famous explorer, Thor Heyerdahl, with their Tiki Tumble slot machine that they released in February 2018. With five reels and 20 paylines, the slot offers up beautiful and colorful statues of various Tiki gods, all of whom can reward you with big wins.

That being said, it’s not easy pleasing the gods and with high volatility and an RTP of 96.49%, you need a bit of patience if you are going to leave the casino with wins that could exceed 3,300 x your wager.

Tiki Tumble – Nudging wild and Free Spins

Push Gaming is a fairly unknown developer for many players, but with slots such as Fat Santa, Fat Rabbit, Gems Of The Gods, the epic Viking Clash and the award winning Jammin’ Jars, they have proved time and time again that they are a developer to watch.

Tiki Tumble is not as complicated as other Push Gaming slots and although it has high volatility, there should be nothing stopping even less experienced players enjoying the slot.

Tiki Tumble does not have many special features and the few that are on offer are not that active due to the high volatility of the machine, but with a bit of patience you can look forward to landing a wild symbol on one of the top three lines. Do that and Nudging wild features will start.

For each following spin, the wild symbol will move one notch down until it disappears off the reels. This is a fun feature that can ensure you huge rewards as it can be active on multiple wheels at once and can cover entire wheels with wilds.

In addition to the Nudging wild, the wild symbol can replace all other symbols except the scatter symbol, which comes in the form of a golden war mask. If you land three or more scatters, you win free spins with a multiplier. Free spins start with reels two and four covered in wilds and with the possibility of landing new wilds, you can in theory keep the free spins going forever!

The multiplier that follows free spins, starts at x 1, 2, or 3 depending on how many scatter symbols you land in the main game. For each new Nudging wilds you land, the multiplier increases. With very high volatility it can take some time between landing three scatters, but when you do, you are guaranteed significant wins if you play with slightly higher stakes.

Design & graphics

Push Gaming is a fairly young developer and so far they have launched a few slots that offer excellent gaming experiences, but they have also developed some real bad ones that should have been removed from the history books immediately.

We do however love the fact that they dare to try new things and we don’t expect every single slot to be a masterpiece, but we have to expect a little more from Tiki Tumble. Set against a backdrop of a nicely designed mountain landscape with clouds, palm trees and some Tiki statues, the five wheels are framed with bamboo poles and vines. Graphically, there’s not much we can criticize Push Gaming for, except that the background is a bit pale in color and the fact that some of the symbols have details that’s hard to make out.

The soundtrack is also a problem. In the background, you hear jungle drums and songs that you associate with the story Push is trying to convey, but the volume is so low that you have to turn up the volume on your PC or mobile and when you then land a win, it’s an utter assault on the ear drums.

Where to play Tiki Tumble slot

Tiki Tumble is a good slot, but it could have been a lot better if Push Gaming had just added a bit more finesse, as they did with Jammin’ Jars and Viking Clash.

What’s happened to good old slot machines?

Our spinning tin of joy has come a long way indeed; from chrome, gears, and levers, to lightning-fast buttons, reels, and pay lines – all masterfully blown into life thanks to some real state of the art video graphics. Many new video slots sport up to 5 reels. When it comes to how many pay lines a video slot can have these days, the numbers are as easy to predict as the winning numbers of a jackpot, they’re simply up in the air. Some games come with fixed pay lines, while other slots give you the possibility to bet on paylines. New paylines can suddenly pop up and offer something fun and exciting while playing, like free spins, for example, all video slots are a bit different, just like the number of pay lines and your gaming options. At Casino Hacks we think this is just great, because players are different, and we all favor different games and features. Just remember, before you spin away, go a little easy on the betting. If you’re new to the online casino and slot games, a free spin run is a smart way to start, just so you get the knack of the game and different features.

New slots = new options

Options and new chances really are the name of the game here, so naturally, slot providers are constantly working on finding new smart ways to add surprising and fun bonus features. We see this all the time when new popular slots hit the casinos, packed with new options – all there to give you as a player another chance to win for example via an extra free spin or an entertaining boost option, like a multiplier feature.

Classic slots & branded masterpieces

Truly great slots become classics, like Gonzo’s Quest, Starburst – and reviews are always a smart way to get more out of the games. Reviews of branded slots are especially smart to check out since the RTP – the return to player figures – for branded slots sometimes can be as generous as the Night King in the epic saga. This is not always the case for all branded slots of course, and we’re not saying here that this is the case for GOT either, just pointing out some facts. When it comes to quality and entertainment levels, we’ve seen some astonishing development in the last couple of years where some truly amazing movie and TV concepts have been crafted into epic video slots – Game of Thrones, Jurassic World, Gladiator, Planet of the Apes, Age of Spartans, Jumanji, Beowulf, Mighty Kong, Jungle Books, Emoji Planet and Beauty and the Beast, to name a few.

What we look for when reviewing slots

Let’s take an example, it’s much easier that way. Let’s take a great slot, one we really love, let’s go for Jammin’ Jars. Now, this is a pearl of a slot because of the potential it’s got, to be precise, the theoretical potential here is 20 000X. Volatility, on the other hand, can be brutal, so make sure you manage your bankroll. If you manage your bankroll, keep your cool and play this slot the smart way, it might just show you the way to some serious cash. But, like with all slots, you can never be sure, of course.

– RTP: Return to player figures are at 96.51, not bad at all.

– Volatility: High. You might want to stay calm and wait for the bonus game when that comes along, you can get lucky.

– Overall impression: A gem of a game. Stay cool and stick to your game plan and this can be a winner.
